OUR FOUNDER’S STORY

 

While on active duty in the United States Airforce (USAF), I had the privilege of being stationed in Northern Italy. This allowed my family and I to travel across much of Western Europe. We love to camp, but it was seven years into our trips across the European continent before I came up with an idea that would make our camping experience simpler and more comfortable.

To my shock, I couldn’t find the product I was searching for anywhere, even using the Internet. It simply didn’t exist!

So when I retired from the military and my family returned to the US, I began gathering the parts I needed to make the camping product we needed. In 2013 I started taking steps to patent my new design. I used my own skills and personal funds to develop the project.

After three years, ten prototypes, seven launches, and a whole lot of perseverance, the USTPO awarded me a utility patent on November 1, 2016. Now, you and I can use this revolutionary camping tool – the MultiUseCanopy™. It is the perfect privacy enclosure for a utility shower while camping, fits in the trunk of a compact car,  and can be carried and set-up by one person!
